Celia
My k'er is being shorted. I had plans, then health issues got in the way and other than a bit of phonics, and a math workbook, we've not done very much! I don't feel especially guilty about this... she's a young K having just turned five in September, but I'd like to make school a bit more fun for her! So, what's your K'er enjoying the most right now? I need to get some ideas here.
m0mmaBuck
Honestly, she enjoys history, science and art the most. We use SOTW, Real Science 4 Kids Chemistry, and Artistic Pursuits. She asks for them every day. She also likes Song School Latin.
lorrainejmc
Mine has enjoyed FIAR, done conversationally. When I try to add a lot of activities we lose what the lesson was about.:001_huh: Then we are using OPGTR, HWT K and will start MUS alpha in the new year. Short and effective.:D
Murrayshire
My ds is using OPGTR, Saxon Math K but starting the Math 1 in Jan....Ds is studying life science with his sisters and partakes in the experiements. He absolutely loves Homeschool Share, he makes artsy stuff everyday, and loves his nature walks. While I read aloud to my two oldest dd's, he listens and draws what he is imagining while I read...we date it and put it in his notebook! He enjoys looking back at his story pictures and figuring out the storyline from his illustrations! Have fun with K!
....
I'm going to teach K again this spring and we're using My Father's World K. I used it last year and it was a big hit.
blondeviolin
FIAR is a hit here. Also, read-alouds. She likes AAS and math okay...but it does require her to think at times and she'd rather be off playing. LOL
FairyMom
Loves her math and handwriting.
morosophe
I third Five in a Row! Particularly supplemented with lapbooks from homeschoolshare.com, if your kid is into crafts. Easy, simple, and FUN!
