Mommy22alyns
I have a hollowed out pumpkin in my kitchen right now and I have no idea what to make with it. I haven't even roasted it yet. I need ideas! Recipes are necessary!
kalanamak
Cube it and add to bean chili the last 45 minutes of simmering. Cube it and curry it. Small cubes and into minestrone soup. Roast, mash and make: soup, muffins, pies. I started a thread in Oct. on what to do with pumpkin. Many responses if you look for it.
NicAnn
You can do anything with it that you would canned pumpkin. I roast it for about 45 minutes, scrap out the flesh and puree it. We make a lot of: Pumpkin chili (I make a regular bean chili and add about 1-2 cups of puree) pumpkin oatmeal (make regular oats on the stove, add in a few tablespoons puree for each serving and some spice and maple syrup. Awesome) cookies brownies pumpkin butter
Farrar
If you mash it, you can freeze it and use it in muffins, bread, soup, etc. later.
