My eldest started really young, perhaps as young as 4. He was interested in doing so and just did it. I didn't even realized till I noticed that I wasn't doing it anymore.

My youngest needs trip nails for piano and violin. He has no interest in clipping his own nails. No interest what so ever.

I quit when their feet get bigger or close to as big as mine. Ewww!!!! So, with DS, I stopped right around the time he turned 8. I wear a size 2/3 kids. He was wearing a size 1.5 or so and I couldn't take it. I still have to remind him to do it now and he's 10. My older DDs are 7 and small so their feet aren't close to as big as mine yet. They prefer me to do it and I don't mind, but I'd let them do it themselves if they wanted to do it.

He, you didn't include '2yo's who sneek away with the scissors to cut their own nails, everytime you turn your back on them' in your poll options :toetap05:.

Yipe! Sneaky children. I hope that child still has all their toes.

That's why an 'other' is always included. It's the unwritten poll rule. :D
