Robin Hood: Pyle or Green? King Arthur: Sutcliff or Pyle?

I have to confess that I love them all, for different purposes. Pyle, however, is quite difficult to read--I think it would be a better read-aloud for anyone under 10.

If I have to pick one, I pick Lang for King Arthur and Green for Robin Hood (though Green's King Arthur is a very close second).

I always forget that there are two Sutcliff versions of Arthur, a trilogy largely, though not entirely, based on Malory (The Sword and the Circle, The Light Beyond the Forest, The Road to Camlann) and a more realistic version written for teens and adults called The Sword at Sunset which is not appropriate for younger children.
