Daisy
I've never heard the phrase.
Slartibartfast
No, one does not go to Urban Dictionary to find out what the was. One should not go to Urban Dictionary to find anything, least one finds "counting sheep" or some other innocent phrase to be described as a horrific sexual act. DB in NJ
Without googling, do you know the origin of the phrase, "Oh, the humanity"? I know where it is from and I've wondered if most people do since "oh, the kittenity" started being used here. I should also ask: Does reading oh, the kittenity make you cringe? A little? Not at all? I know it's a joke but a feel a bit guilty laughing at it. The kittenity part. Yes, I do. The video of the incident with commentary is unforgettable. And I also know the origin of the phrase, "Oh, the Whomanity!"
Audrey
Yes. It's from the live broadcast of the Hindenburg tragedy. Can't recall the name of the reporter, but that was what he said at the sight of the airship going up in flames. Oh, the kittanity doesn't bother me, personally, but I can see how it might bother some.
nono
Yes, I knew. And yes, I'm so old it was live when I heard it. :tongue_smilie: (Not really but for some reason in high school we saw the crash about 6000 times on video, so it seems like I lived through it).
