Live2Ride Posted September 11, 2011 Author Share Posted September 11, 2011 It went beautifully. Thank you for the prayers. I hope she likes the way we handled it. Her step-daughter, half sister and myself each read a part of a poem that was found and shared with her while she was sick in the hospital. It was about a blind horse and his pasture mate who had a bell on his halter so that his blind mate could be directed. It was about friendship...I had to read the last part and had to pause a few times because of the tears. I was honored that the family included me in her obit as a "special thank you to her best friend M_______." I missed her terribly yesterday...I inherited her two horses and I took them out to ride so I could feel closer to her...it made me sad as I have no other riding partners near me...
