ButterfliesandBooks
I'd like to do both programmes with my dd (13). She will be doing History Odyssey level 2 (Ancients) and CHOLL logic stage (Ancient times). Has anyone done this and how did it work out? Is there much overlap? Thanks :)
RootAnn
I'm wondering if it'd be too much. I plan on using HO Level 2 ancients with my older next year & I'd like to do the CHOLL, too. So, :lurk5:
ButterfliesandBooks
Yes, I'm wondering that too RootAnn...although I like the look of both! I may go through both curriculum and see what overlaps and what I can tweak.

winoelle
:bigear: This is what I am planning too, would love to hear from anyone that has done it. And just to make things a little more interesting, I would like to change out one of the spines for History Odyssey to the K12HO. A home for their hearts
I'm wanting to do the same. I'm wondering since this is an older thread if those if first wondered about were able to make it work?
ChiknGirl
We used HO Ancients Level 1 and CHOLL Ancients grammar stage together this year. The timelines didn't match up exactly, but it worked out ok. The kids didn't seem to mind and enjoyed finding the connections to prior readings when they could. I don't know how logic stage would work since there is significantly more reading in HO than there was in the grammar stage. I would say it's worth a try. My kids really enjoyed the books from CHOLL. kwickimom
:bigear: This is my plan for my 5th grader too. I think coming from HOD Preparing we will be fine as we read and read and read last year :)
