Surfside Academy
For the last 3 weeks, my soon-to-be 3 year-old only wants to build puzzles! I guess there are worse things but at any given time, there are 4-6 finished or partially finished puzzles all over my floor. He'll even say he wants to go home so he can "do puzzles." I just hope it's not turning into a "Rainman" situation!:D Just thought I'd share...
Michelle in MO
It shows that your son is developing his thinking skills! I think toddlers get off into their own little "obsessions" for a while (just like I do as an adult ;) ) and it's OK to let them go into that "streak." Keep letting him play with the puzzles as he wants. You can always add in other things, later, but he's problem-solving right now, and I think this is a wonderful sign of his development. Rejoice! :)
Mom2legomaniacs
My now 10 yr ds adored puzzles when he was around that age. From about age 1 1/2 on for a while, he loved them! Was constantly doing them. He got over it. He still will do a puzzle occasionally, but not often anymore. Great thing to do for kids though! Sasharowan
My ds7 is my puzzler. I taught him that one had to be put away before getting another one so pieces won't be lost. He still does puzzles whenever he's bored. Even on his gameboy he prefers puzle type games like Tetris to others.
Tracy in Ky
I love puzzles myself. It is very hard to pull myself away from them. :)
