Jolash
We finished second grade today!! Yippee! I feel like I've been set free for the next two and half months. On the other hand, my baby is now a third grader... not such a baby anymore (he even refused to let me kiss him when I left to go to a meeting because his friends were around :( ) But I'm still :D:D:D:D way happy! Jolash
Thanks Megan. I'll save a little "swing" to join you in your own happy dance in five weeks!

Jenny in Atl
My 2nd grader was excited too. We finished a couple days ago. Even though we school year-round, I still mark when she finishes her "year's" worth of work.

Jennifer in MI
Congrats!!! What are you doing to celebrate??? We finished our year today too. But, we'll continue with standardised testing next week and then one math and one grammar lesson/week over the summer. Enjoy your freedom!!! Jolash
We're gonna sleep in, play video games (well, he is anyway) and go swimming every day as soon as the water is warm enough to keep from turning me into an ice cube! And of course, I will be planning for next year in the next week or so!
Crissy
Yay! Congratulations on a successful year! P.S. They get used to the kissing. My older son resisted around age 8-9, but now at nearly 14 he freely hugs and kisses me no matter the company.
missplacedalaskan
YIPPEE! We finished 10th grade today! We will celebrate next week with a movie and lunch out, then start school again. We have a few off weeks here and there until mid-Sept. and then we start "full swing".
