Bang!Zoom!
I remember seeing somewhere in a signature line a mom here wrote she had a son working on an Eagle Scout badge? Who is that?
Rosy
Bumping for you...there are probably many moms on here with Eagle Scouts. :)
justasque
Lots of us scout moms here. Luckymomma comes to mind. Got a question?
Bang!Zoom!
I just happened to see this scholarship offered...wondered if it matched her sons project in scouts. http://www.actionfornature.org/eco-hero-awards They are going to release the next application in a few days for the 2012 awards. 1bassoon
Me? My son's in the middle of his project - hopes to finish this weekend, though he won't have earned all the merit badges yet. Do I win? ;) ETA: Thanks - I did look at that scholarship, and it wasn't quite for him.
Bang!Zoom!
Ya, I think that is the signature! What is his project? You just happen to jump to mind when I was reading that, Eagle Scout is way honorable as a goal.

You just happen to jump to mind when I was reading that, Eagle Scout is way honorable as a goal. Thanks! His project is for a local inner-city school: he's building and installing 4 large bookshelves for their library, and wiring and installing 17 smart boards. I'm about to go crazy with this whole thing - it's been a bit of a rush job for various reasons - and can I just say he's learned a whole bunch about deadlines and procrastination??? :glare: Note to other Eagle moms: 7 weeks is an incredibly rushed turnaround time from start to completion for a project. I SO don't recommend it. (I am proud of him, though! :D)
Bang!Zoom!
If you want, look at this, I've been working on it today. His project may fit the requirements. http://www.kohlscorporation.com/CommunityRelations/scholarship/index.asp
1bassoon
Wow! Thanks - that should qualify . . . .I'll mark my calendar to look into it next winter. Hooray!!! :D
Bang!Zoom!
A six year old won this in my city last year. SIX! I don't get the feeling a lot of people enter..lol :)
Granny_Weatherwax
I am keeping this in mind for my DS (life scout). He is also working on his Hornaday. He has completed all of the merit badge requirements for both Eagle and Hornaday but is procrastinating developing a project that will satisfy both. To a previous poster - 7 weeks at the age of 14 isn't bad at all. Why is the project being rushed? School schedules?
DianeW88
I have an Eagle Scout. He painted 75 fire hydrants around town for his Eagle project.
