newbie
out of Wheaton terrier hair, to be more exact. He has two big sticker balls in his forehead hair, I have tried to brush and pull, to no avail. Any ideas?
Aunty Social
Maybe some baby powder, or oil? ETA: I recently found that baby powder helps get the mats out of my pup's hair. I think it kind of gets between the strands and makes them a bit more slippery. Maybe it would both coat the sticker adhesive and make the hair more slippery? If not, I think oil dissolves sticker glue (at least, I think that's why it gets them off dishes). justamouse
try vinegar, it breaks down the adhesive. if that doesn't work, try olive oil.

newbie
I am sorry they are not stickers that you purchase. They are sticker balls off a tree or bush. They fall off trees here.
Dobela
Just a little oil - veggie or olive.
newbie
Are both safe for dog???
Dobela
Yes they are safe for dogs. Shampoo and conditioners for dogs will also help move those out. If not, I usually just cut some of the big ones out. It was the fastest and easiest way.
newbie
thanks, I will try olive oil.
Dobela
You will need to put the oil just where the sticker is and a little in front and behind of it. It should help the hair loosen and slide easier, like you are working a knot out.
