MCT Schedule Question

Recommended Posts

My dd 11 is starting MCT Voyage level. I'm sure with some effort I could devise a schedule for covering all of the books at this level, but I'd rather not reinvent the wheel if someone else has already devised a schedule. I tried to search the MCT support forum, but I couldn't find a schedule for Voyage.

Many thanks to Satori for posting her MCT Island schedule - it's fantastic!

I'm away from my computer, but I can sketch out what we did. It worked well, taking about two hours total each week.

1) spend 5 weeks working through grammar voyage

Then, simultaeneously ( you don't need any breaks for the sake of the materials, but they seem to happen at my house during short holiday weeks, field trip weeks, sick weeks, etc)

2) ce 2 - one chapter a week for 20 weeks

3) practice voyage - 5 sentences a week for 20 weeks

4) wop - three weeks per chapter. Be sure to look in the back of book for ideas for extension activities.

5) essay voyage - two weeks per chapter.

This gets it done in 25 weeks so you have time for taking breaks from it as needed when other schooling or life is pressing. Just take your time with essay, as it suffers the most from being rushed.

This gets it all done in 25

I've taken the Voyage schedule from the yahoo group and put it into a table, with page numbers. It helps me to plan better if I can see a grid or table. It's too big to attach, but if anyone wants a copy, PM me with your email and I'll send it. It's in a pdf format. I can send it as a docx format, too, if that helps anyone. :001_smile:

ETA: I just uploaded this to the yahoo group. It's called GrammarVoyage.doc
