Momling
I'm not much of a music listener, but I'd like to be able to listen to audiobooks when I go for a run or hike or (in the winter) xc ski. I've never had an Ipod or MP3 player. The list of compatible devices on sites like Audible is making my head spin. What do I want? I'm entirely clueless. lailasmum
I use audible and have a Sansa Fuze, It's easy to use and has been reliable. It's also not as expensive as an ipod.
OnTheBrink
I'd vote for the iPod, because the iTunes store has iTunesU which has hundreds of free downloadable audio books, lectures, etc. If you don't want an iPod, then be sure to check out Lit2Go.com for hundreds of classic works in audio (and visual, if you want it) forms, for free. Jen in PA
I get tons of audiobooks for free off my library's website and put them on my Sansa clip. It was under $20 with shipping from Woot, and is one of my favorite things I have ever bought myself!
kitten18
We have ipods. I check out audio books from our library website (overdrive). I listen to books often while I cook and clean.
Momling
Thank you!!! I went to radio shack and picked up a Sansa Clip for 34$. I found out our library has a subscription to library2go and I successfully downloaded my first audio book. I happily cleaned the kitchen and folded the laundry and cooked dinner all while "reading".
