daysaregifts
Is there a way to buy it cheaper than from my provider, AT&T, whether online or in the store? Any other tips for a good phone? (not used for internet) - Needs to be At&t compatible. - Would prefer a good speakerphone. - Would like a good calendar feature THANKS! stripe
I got a nice one online from at&t for $50 with $50 rebate thing I had to send in, so effectively free. The options in store were way higher. You can buy a cell phone at some regular stpre and just put in your sim card too.
daysaregifts
Great deal Stripe! I'm actually wanting to avoid getting the discount/free phone so I don't have to have the 2 year contract. I hope sometime to get to change to Verizon, but am on a family plan now and the price is just too good!
Lara in Colo
I am T mobile, but I bought a compatable phone at walmart for 25.00 a couple of years ago and changed out the sim card.
tntgoodwin
Check out Amazonwireless.com and wirefly.com for good, reputable online dealers with great prices.
daysaregifts
Anybody NOT doing cell phone contract? Doing pre-pay or some other way not to be tied to 2 year?
BlsdMama
Anybody NOT doing cell phone contract? Doing pre-pay or some other way not to be tied to 2 year? We looked into it and decided to do the contract. We thought about using pre-paid but frankly, paying for both incoming calls, etc., the big companies had a better deal. With US Cellular we had free incoming calls and free US Cellular calls. With Verizon we have free Verizon plus our ten "Friends & Family." We'd spend a fortune if we had to pay for incoming calls or calls between DH & I, etc. We use cells instead of a house phone, so YMMV. Once we looked into it, we felt we were better served with the contract. Can you call AT & T and see if they do a yearly contract instead of two years? I believe some of the companies do such a thing.
