ktgrok
I've been warned to find something age appropriate :)
NittanyJen
We're a little over halfway through Geraldine McCaughrean's and nothing problematic so far. I'll post an update if that changes.

I love her work. I have Brain Alderson & Michael Foreman's I like it. Obviously you can pick and choose which stories, otherwise it'd take up a good portion of reading. That's what we'll be using for this fall. :) Dd loved McCaughrean's version of The Odyssey this year.
Deniseibase
Andrew Lang's The Arabian Nights. You can get the book for about $20 or a Kindle version for free. I like this version for the old-fashioned language, which always seems so appropriate to me for old stories. This version was written for children in 1918, so absolutely nothing objectionable :)
