Renaissance Mom
How do you approach learning, memorizing, and retaining the vocabulary? I know they suggest giving weekly vocab quizzes -- I can handle that. But what do you have your student do to actually learn and review the words? Flash cards? Oral drill? Thanks, Monica
JudoMom
I plan on having my guys do Headventureland for drill, along with physical flashcards.

Renaissance Mom
Thank you for the web links. So do you ask your students to drill vocab daily while working in that chapter? How about longer term review to be sure they are still remembering vocab from previous chapters?
elegantlion
I also also making drills on Quia you can feel free to use -http://www.quia.com/pages/abass101/latinalive1 Thank you!! We've been going back and using the chapter reviews from the files on the yahoo group. We had a cruddy year and didn't get as far as we had hoped in LA I. My plan is work more diligently on memorizing the vocabulary. We finished in chapter 13 and he was looking up words he didn't know, which was making it take longer than necessary (because he felt the need to get distracted as he was looking). So this summer I plan on doing a lot of review, concepts and vocabulary, and start in unit 3 in the fall. angela in ohio
I have a list of ideas in this blog post (I'd just copy the whole thing here, but I would lose the links.) Scroll down to #3. There are game ideas, links to flashcard sites, etc.
