ProudGrandma
I have to buy 3 gifts for 3 different girls for high school graduation. I don't know them very well, but I don't want to appear cheap either. I could spend about $10-15 each. Please give me some ideas. thanks. gingersmom
I would go to Marshalls, Home Goods or one of those kinds of stores. Maybe a journal or a picture frame (to put graduation photo in). They I always go to the dollar store for a pretty bag and some tissue paper.
Dobela
If they are going to college - a twin sheet set or towels. Maybe a gift card. A friend here will give a roll of quarters to anyone college bound.

Tammyla
I find shopping for these difficult too. I like to give a good book.
domestic_engineer
A snack pack? A plastic container (always useful for storing something in a dorm room) filled with hot chocolate, microwave popcorn, dishcloth, gift cards to a fast food/coffee place on campus, and other snacky or munchy food. maybe a nice mug (w/ school logo?!) ... One can never have enough food while studying ... well, I guess you can have *too* much food. :P
Kareni
Are they college bound? Our daughter took our copy of Rodale's The Synonym Finder to college with her. Gift cards can be nice if you know they match the recipient's interests: Barnes & Noble or local independent book store College bookstore Starbuck's Office Supply store Mrs. Field's cookies i-tune card Target Regards, Kareni
tearose
For the college-bound: laundry bag with a roll of quarters. Maybe with some starter amounts of detergent, dryer sheets, and the like. The second part is probably better for a student who won't be going too far (i.e. flying). (although I don't know if quarters are a precious a commodity now as they were when I was in college. maybe students can pay for laundry by swiping cards nowadays?)
