AngelBee
:( Can they reissue prescription for Amoxicillin? We don't have health insurance. I can't afford another appointment with doctor. :crying:
amey311
Definitely call the doctor and explain the problem. Hopefully the office will be able to just call in the prescription for you. I'm assuming there aren't refills on the prescription where you could just go get another "round" of it?

I grabbed it fast, but a lot spilled. Don't think we will have enough to make it through Mon am.
snickelfritz
I would expect them to do a refill, though it's certainly their choice. It's a basic antibiotic, in a reasonable timeframe, for the same patient. A controlled substance would be different.
arghmatey
The pharmacy has replaced my RX on several occasions. Try calling them to see if they will do it for you. One time my husband accidentally melted all my capsules. Don't ask! Lol
plansrme
Do you have a Publix or another store (usually a grocery store pharmacy) that does the same thing, namely it gives away many low-cost medicines? I am pretty sure Amoxicillin is on the list here. If it isn't, many other broad-spectrum, cheap antibiotics are, and perhaps your dr. would prescribe one of those instead. Your dr.'s office should not charge to call in a replacement prescription, and if they can call it in (not that they actually "call" any more) to a pharmacy that does not charge you, there should not be any cost at all.
