Yes, and? So what are you trying to say? For fun, that is?

:confused: What the heck was that for? She posted a list of drinking ages in various states in a thread about trying alcohol before a certain age. There's nothing unusual about the link and it's perfectly appropriate to the topic. :chillpill:

Yes, true, but it can also be taken as parents who let their children drink are doing so illegally-which, yeah, we get that. So, I didn't get what was 'fun' about it.

That said, I am sorry, I didn't see that the conversation had veered so much.

Well, if you read my reply earlier in the thread, I am one of the "illegal" parents, willing to allow my dc to try alcohol to minimize the need to experiment behind my back, possibly dangerously. I also posted that my dc have wine EVERY WEEK except the 4th Sunday during Holy Eucharist.

Thank you, Audrey, for understanding my intent. :)

well, to make it even more vague, just because the legal drinking age is XX doesn't mean that parents don't have rights that supersede those laws. So while my kids can't purchase or drink w/ their buddies w/o me, it's still *very legal* for me to let them drink or order them their own beer in a tavern. :)

varies from state to state of course. :D
