Rose in BC
Thursday afternoon she began complaining about a severe headache radiating into her neck. I thought hmm, maybe migraine. She's never had one but there's always a first time. At 3 a.m. Friday morning she awoke me telling me she had vomited and her fever was at 103. All day Friday she felt weak but her fever was gone (maybe because she was taking ibuprofen for her headache). Then Friday night she was feverish again. Same with yesterday. Okay during the day (although weak and yucky feeling), feverish and headache/neck pain at night). So, I'm not sure if I should take her to the clinic tonight or wait and sees what happens tonight. It seems so non-descript. . . . fever and headache and general malaise. Any ideas or advice?
MominIN
I would take her to the doctor. I would be worried about meningitis. Hope she feels better soon!

Jean in Newcastle
Our whole family has had this virus and we're not too far from you. I had a fever for 4 days (mostly at night) before it broke for good. Same severe headache too. ETA - the rest of the family got better without any intervention. I needed to go on antibiotics because it went into an ear infection.
