NanceXToo
Have you looked on meetup, or tried posting on the PA Home Educators Yahoo Email group to find others in your area that may have a group going, or want to at least get together...? I'd invite you to my group but you're a few hours away lol.
beaners
My family is outside of Pittsburgh, right near Greensburg. Is there any chance you are on the eastern side of the city? I have a 3.5 year old girl, a 2 year old girl, and a baby boy. We head into Pittsburgh every now and then for doctor's appointments, the library systems, the zoo, the aviary, and the children's museum. Mine are all too young for me to join any of the groups out on this side of town.
mommatomany
We're from Pgh. I just found this board a few weeks ago. We live in Turtle Creek, so east of the city. I have a 7 year old dd, 5 year old dd, 4 year old dd, 2 year old dd and a 7 month old ds! :001_smile:
Senorita Tuna Fish
I always lose my posts! I am on the west side of Pittsburgh and I would love to meet with anyone who would meet with us! We have had the hardest time making friends! I only have the two girls, 7 in two days and 3. We go to the Oakland library often and the museums, but we also like play places and things like that! I will send a PM to the people who responded to this thread! An here I was thinking I would never get a response!!
JessReplanted
We are 45 min. outside of Pittsburgh, and we don't have any homeschooling friends either. :tongue_smilie: (We could meet you at the zoo!) :001_smile:
beaners
I'm going to be in Pittsburgh with my husband and my children on the 23rd for a checkup for the baby. We were planning on doing something while we are there. Zoo, aviary, children's museum, one of the Carnegie museums, one of the libraries, the Mr. Rogers playground in Monroeville Mall, something else? Would anyone be interested? Tarreymere
Wow, I am always hearing about homeschool groups in Pittsburgh! And I live too far away to go there! http://www.pals-enrichment.info/ This is a secular inclusive group that is pretty active. This is the link to the South Hills group http://familyinstructors.blogspot.com/ This is a link a a North Hills enrichment group http://www.nphep.org/ and this is a link to some North Hills Christian Educators http://nhchweb.org/resources.html I'm sure there are more. I'm very jealous, we have nothing like all of this in my area.

Senorita Tuna Fish
But if you notice all but one of those are in the city of Pittsburgh. I think they are pretty far from th city in my opinion. I was wanting to start something in the city for people thta don't want to travel to the south hills or north hills just to have a group of friends for their kids. For us that would be unsustainable. If it were possible for people who are using public transportation to be included then I would be happy. Any way just send me a private message in your interested!:001_smile:
