Kirch
I'm trying to decide what to do after SSL, which DS has loved. PL looks like it might be good, but I don't really want to pay so much for the dvd's when I'm really just looking for something to keep our toes in the water until he's a bit older to go into LFC or one of the other more in-depth programs. Can we do PL with just the student book, teacher book, and cd's?
Homeschooling Again
We use Prima Latina without the DVDs, but I did break down and buy the flashcards, which apparently we'll also use when we start Latina Christiana next year. Get the pronounciation CD, but I think the DVD would be overkill.
Samiam
Absolutely....we did PL without the DVD. PL is actually very easy, and mainly vocabulary type stuff....no declensions, conjugations, etc. Yes,the flashcards were great and yes, used again for Latinia Christiania. I wouldn't bother with the DVD's.

MelissaMinNC
We did PL orally, without the DVDs or the workbook. I just bought the TM and the pronunciation CD, and it was a great intro. (DD was in 2nd grade.) :) Melissa

angela in ohio
You can absolutely, positively, 100% do it very well without the DVDs. :001_smile:
2_girls_mommy
I agree. We have the C.D. which cost all of $4.50 at RR. That and the workbook and flashcards have been plenty for us.
