Lori C- Texas
I need suggestions on ASL curriculum. I am wanting to do this with all my kids at once. Next year they will be 3rd, 5th, and 9th grades. Anyone have a program they have used and loved?
dsmama
I am curious about this as well! We are using Signing Time DVDs and supplementing with some signs from http://aslpro.com/ when my kids are curious. My youngest does not have much speech, and so signing for us is important until he is able to speak.
Lori C- Texas
I checked out some of the signing time dvds from the library but haven't had a time to watch them. I will check out that website as well. Thanks! All my kids are wanting to learn but I didn't know where to start other than the videos at the library. My daughter wants to use sign language as her foreign language credit for highschool. So, I figured I better get started finding a curriculum. Just Robyn
This and this I used products from both of those companies when I was studying ASL/Deaf culture in college and they both have products that work well for families.
Paula Miles
Thank you for this thread! I have often thought about doing this with my kids but had no clue where to start. Thanks again!
Tracy
Lifeprint has free online lesson plans. I haven't used them, but they look really good. They even have videos of people signing and notations about deaf culture.

PeterPan
I got the entire set of Signing Time videos off the amazon marketplace for a great price ($150!) and use them with my ds2 with verbal apraxia (no speech prior to therapy). They are wonderful, but I'd add in something for the 9th grader.
