Rosie_0801
I haven't watched these yet, but a friend rated them well. She's one of those types who seems to know almost everything so they're probably good. :) (Feel free not to agree, heheh.) FaithManor
Rosie, this is monumentally UNFAIR! I want to watch these really badly now but ds 10 is sitting next to me doing a math lesson and so I can't! Pout, whine, pout, whimper, pout, simper, stick lower lip out and sigh. Rosie_0801
 But these are school, aren't they? Sorry, didn't meant to traumatise anyone. I thought I was being helpful!
Rosie_0801
I've messaged my friend to see if she can take the privacy settings off the playlist so we can see... Rosie

Faith Don't you have headphones? That's why I sit here with headphones on. I just tilt the computer away from them slightly if I think they'll be distracted visually. BridgeTea
Cool! We're still in Ancients. I'll check them out in a bit. Thanks, Rosie.
Audrey
If you like stuff like that, try searching for "What the Ancients Did For Us." Many of the episodes are on YouTube. It is a BBC programme hosted by Adam Hart Davis (whom I adore!). There are similar programmes on the Victorians, the Industrialists, the Romans, the Tudors/Stuarts, etc. They are fun programmes, quite suitable for elementary age, but probably more useful by middle grades. As an adult, I found them fascinating and while I knew many of the concepts presented, I did not know all the little details of how these things were executed. Wonderful stuff, that BBC!
