HFClassicalAcademy
I finally got around to posting pictures of our schoolroom. They are on my blog. http://hfclassicalacademy.blogspot.com/ If you visit, I need some help. The last picture is an empty wall. What would you put there? Ideas are appreciated! Thanks, Liz:)
Melissa in FL
I would hang the kids artwork on that wall. but I annoy dh with the amount of kids artwork I hang up in our school room. He would leave it blank! Melissa

Thanks, Liz:) Love, love, love the red. Makes me want to get rid of this blue in here. The blue is depressing somehow. As for the wall, I think I'd get some pretty, wooden, Pottery Barn-ish frames in black or possibly to match the bookcases (but I think black would stand out more). You can get them at Michaels. Mat them and rotate kid art in them. Barb

Stephanie in FL
I would do the same thing. We have actually have two art walls - one in the school room and one in the family room for their framed art. Our family room has the red walls too. We took their nice finished work and matted them in black frames. It looks so nice that way.
CalicoKat
for school and no matter what it looks like it is beautiful. (I desire this soo badly but it just doesn't seem like God is going to bless us with a bigger house, and I'm angry.) Enjoy your space. freethinkermom
I have no advice, but I wanted to tell you I am in love with your bookshelves! Is that a plant stand you have the Staples catch-all/Desk apprentice type thing sitting on? Great idea. I may need to borrow it :) I have mine on an old tv cart. It does not look bad, but it is not pretty either. Just plain plain.
nukeswife
I would use it as an artwall for the kids things as well. I also wanted to say I love, love, love the color. I so want that for my school room which is now royal purple in color (think more eggplant) because that's what color the owners painted it and I don't know that I want to change it now that the white board has been hung (they said I could though so you never know. I also love the bookshelves. I'd love a few like that.
Jenny in Atl
Ditto on the posts above. Spotlight a piece of your children's work each month. Maybe tied into what you are studying, or the time of year, or something they just really feel proud of making.
workingmom
Liz, I'm looking for a table similar to that, that is adjustable. Where did you get it. I need one for my ds who is 6. I want his feet to be able to touch the ground when he is sitting. Right now he uses the breakfast table or his computer table in his room (which is adult size)
Paz
I agree with the art wall idea. I love your schoolroom. I love the wall color and all the neat organization. Enjoy!
