Mynyel
I need science for dd13. We tried Apologia but she doesn't like it. It is too textbooky for her. What else is there? I have seen Rainbow but don't know what it looks like. Ds8 is doing RS4K and we like it but doesn't offer for her level... I also don't want to have to go one year with something then switch because it stops. Any suggestions?
Verity
I'm using Noeo Chemistry II for my sixth grader this year and have Noeo Physics lined up for next year. It seems very much a classical format using all kinds of different books, notebooking, experiments, etc. I love having a schedule to follow and lists of materials so it's all planned out for me. The prices are reasonable too.
HollyDay
What are you wanting to study in science? Noeo is a good program. I'm also looking at Spectrum for our high school chemistry.
Tammyla
My ds recommends Rainbow:001_smile:. He had sort of participated in the Apologia GS with his sister a few years back and wanted something of his own.
gingersmom
I would check out Oak Meadow. We have used Apologia, Noeo, RS4K, and Scott Foresman. Oak Meadow is the hands down favorite. They have sample pages online you can check out.
