newbie
What was the name of the organization that you can buy donations and they get chickens or goats??? And would this be a good gift for a professor instead of BN certificate?

Twigs
Scroll down under Farms and Livestock https://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/Giving/gift_catalog/ It looks like you can donate whatever amount you want and they put it towards that item. Mrs Mungo
Is there another one, b/c that one seems expensive? Look through their gift catalog. A flock of geese, chicks or ducks is $20, honeybees are $30. They have some big ticket items, but they have smaller items too. You can also buy a "share" of a bigger item. For example, it's $90 for a share of the $990 cheese gift basket or $10 for a share of a goat. :)
Brilliant
Gospel for Asia does this; my kids have fun picking out "presents" every year from their catalog. Gifts from the Stable

lisamarie
World Vision? That's the one I have lying on my desk right now. My kids have already picked out 2 chickens. They're saving their money to buy them.
