PinkInTheBlue
Will it taste okay if I just use milk? Thanks!
Nakia
I never use buttermilk, and mine is always yummy!
Melinda in VT
You can also make buttermilk. Add 1 and 1/3 TBSP of vinegar to one cup of warm milk and let sit for a few minutes.
Parrothead
Put one tablespoon of white vinegar in a measuring cup. Add milk to make one cup. Wait a minute or two and it will "turn" to buttermilk.
Giraffe
Yes, it will still taste as yummy. Or you can add a bit of lemon juice to your milk to sour it just a bit. I just Googled and it appears to be 1 T lemon juice (or white vinegar) to 1 cup of milk. Let stand 10 minutes. Or you can use 1 cup of plain yogurt instead of 1 cup of buttermilk.
