KidsHappen Posted November 4, 2010 Share Posted November 4, 2010 He was the last of my mother's family. I do have two aunts by marriage left from that generation but that's it. This is such a hard phase of life. First the older family members start to go and then your age mates. It has even reached a point when I have family members younger than myself that I have to worry about. I think that this is the 5th death in almost 3 years. It seems like I barely have time to recover from one before the next one is upon me and I am starting to have this overwhelming sense of dread hanging over my head because I don't see any end in sight. Cinder Posted November 4, 2010 Share Posted November 4, 2010 It *is* hard, isn't it? We're going through this with my mil. Her brothers died years ago leaving her sils. Then one died, and the other just recently died. Now mil is the only one left of her generation. She was very down for awhile and wanting to gather her children to her. I'm sorry for your loss.
