lauracolumbus
Do you have a favorite catapult? It doesn't have to be one from a kit that needs to be assembled, but those recommendations are also welcome. I'm looking in the less than $25 price range. I'm mostly buying it for a one day co-op fun day where we re-enact different aspects of the middle ages. Thanks, Laura
NYC
I bought a hand-held catapult at a Medieval Festival a few weeks ago. I think I paid almost $30, but there were less expensive models too -- table top models. My husband and kids had fun shooting mini-marshmallows. The vendor was Siege the Day, and their website is http://stdcatapults.com/default.aspx HTH.
whitestavern
Schleich makes a catapult which should come in around that price range. Not sure of the ages of the kids in the co-op, but it was pretty indestructible for my son :) It is already assembled and they are widely available. lauracolumbus
Thanks for the suggestions. I do remember coming across the Schleich one. There are many to choose from. I'm going to check out Siege the Day just b/c I love the name. Thanks again, Laura
Dmmetler
Do you know anyone who has the game Crossbows and Catapults? We have my husband's from YEARS ago, and I believe there has been a new version released. The catapults (and crossbows) from the old one work quite well as long as they have reasonably new rubber bands.
lauracolumbus
Here's the link for the Crossbows game. http://www.amazon.com/Battleground-3a-Crossbows-Catapults-Chest-Starter/dp/B000NPSVEO Laura
mcconnellboys
There were two kits for $20 or less in some catalog that I just recently looked at and they looked good! I think it was the Rainbow Resource Christmas catalog. They might have been on the back cover....
lauracolumbus
Regena, thanks I did see it on the back of RR Christmas catalog. I figured it must be a decent one if they were selling it. Laura
Jamee
Does it need to be an actual-looking catapult? DH made one out of a shoe box with pencils, rubberbands and a plastic spoon with his scouts that they LOVED. They then shot marshmellows. I need to check out these other ones though, the boys would love it!
