RegGuheert
If you missed this young lady singing on Tuesday night, you owe it to yourself to watch her performance. The sounds which emanate from this small girl are simply stunning! I am not a big follower of the show but I do like to see the performances in the final rounds, as they are generally quite impressive. Fortunately I caught Tuesday night's show on the DVR! Enjoy! Kidlit
Wow! Love to see a talented young lady who still looks like a little girl lauded! :001_smile: Thanks for sharing!
Belacqua
What a lovely girl. The purity of her voice is extraordinary. That choir singing with her wasn't half bad, either!
Forget-Me-Not
Yeah, she's got an amazing voice, especially for a 10 yo. The sad thing is that she's likely going to completely ruin it by singing that way at 10 yo. My sister is an opera singer (really) and says that any reputable music teacher won't let them start singing operatically until they're at least 16 and sometimes not even until 18. The other said thing is that she's developing some really bad habits, like the chin-quivering (which is a sign that her vibrato is being forced). I do like it when she sings high, like the Pie Jesu, because she can't do that false vibrato thing that she has going on.

I don't know that much about classical singing (though I enjoy listening to it), but I was wondering if it is good for her. I have read before that children should not be seriously singing at that age. I thought maybe I had it wrong.

I watched another one of her singing--I think it was her audition for the show, and the head-jerking and chin-quivering drove me nuts.
