Parrothead
Our Wii is not working. Last night we had a power flicker - off then right back on. That is the only thing I can think of that caused this. We've unplugged it for about half an hour hoping it would reset. No luck. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it? TheCoffeeChick
To reset the power you need to unplug everything from the Wii and unplug the cord from the wall. This resets the AC power cord. Keep them unplugged about 5 minutes and then retry turning it on. Also, don't plug it into a power strip - keep it in the wall. You could also try a different outlet in a different room. Hope you get it to work. :)
Parrothead
Thanks. We have the console no, but the remote isn't working. Gonna be a long day.
MamaT
Put new batteries in your remote. Also, our remote acts like it's not working sometimes and the kids have found that if you press "A" a few times in a row, it starts to work. Sounds crazy, but worth a try! RegGuheert
Thanks. We have the console no, but the remote isn't working. Gonna be a long day. Perhaps you will need to re-sync your remotes? (That hasn't been required when our Wii has locked up two different times in the past, but who knows?)
TheCoffeeChick
You'll probably need to resync the remotes - Turn off the console & take the batteries out of the remote. Wait at least a minute. Turn the Wii back on and when you get the safety screen where you need to press A to continue - press and hold (15 seconds) the red sync button on the front of the console under the flap. Now press & release the sync button on the remote - it will start flashing blue. Then press and quickly release the sync button on the console. The remote should stop flashing and stay lit. HTH! Heather in AL
I'm of no help, but I thought I'd mention that some friends of ours keep theirs unplugged when not in use because of the same problem. We don't have this problem with our unit, but theirs will act dead at the slightest breeze outside. Hope you get everything working normally! anissa
Call ninetindo....they are really helpful (we even got to talk to an American). We actually had to send ours in for repair which deactivated the 2 year warranty.
Parrothead
We got it working. Thanks for all the help. Not only is it our game system, it is our way to watch TV.

anissa
Oops...I meant the warranty was reactivated. My iPad changes words that I type sometimes...kind of a forced spell check. Glad you fixed the problem.
