Melissa in St Louis
Does anyone have any recommendations on an open-and-go art program that my K'er and 3rd grader could do together? The K'er LOVES to do artsy things and has excellent motor skills. We do a picture/artist study already, so I'm just looking for something to help them build and refine their skills since they both enjoy it. :) Thanks! :)
Mom0012
Atelier Art has been great for us. There is a dvd lesson instructing the kids on how to do the project. The supplies required are very easy to keep on hand. It is on the pricey side, but it's resale value is very good. Dana
I am liking Artistic Pursuits. I'm still not doing it as often as I'd like, but it's laid out very well.
JMDRAD
We are doing Artistic Pursuits this year. It looks pretty much open and go. We plan to do it once a week.

siloam
I am liking Artistic Pursuits. I'm still not doing it as often as I'd like, but it's laid out very well. I wait till 5th grade then hand the K-3 book to them and have them do one project a week. Not sure you can do that with a 7yo though. Michelle My Bell
Any art program can be open and go as long as you gather all your supplies for the year ahead of time. That said, I purchased Artistic Pursuits, bought my supplies and put everything in bins.
momtoccm
After art getting pushed aside for so long, we're also doing Artistic Pursuits this year. It seems open and go to me and I'm doing it with all 3 kids.

Mama2two
I agree with Artistic Pursuits, just buy all the supplies in one of the kits in advance
