Laurie4b
The last meatball fell down the front of my dress rather than landing on the serving platter. I used a Tide stain stick immediately and then washed it in cold water and hung it to dry. I can still see a stain. Anyone have a way to remove tomato-based stains? Thanks! edithcrawley
I've had good luck with Shout spray on stain remover-luckily you haven't put it in the dryer yet, so you still might have a chance!
4kiddies
Put it outside in direct sunlight. It should take the stain right out.
jacqui in mo
Put it outside in direct sunlight. It should take the stain right out. :iagree: I might wash it again so it is actually drying in the sun. Sunlight gets out a lot of organic stains. SilverMoon
Put it outside in direct sunlight. It should take the stain right out. :iagree: After washing hang it right in the sunshine. This is how I get pizza sauce or chili out of kids clothes. Whenever I think about it a few hours later the stain is zapped. :001_smile:
Granny_Weatherwax
Lemon juice and sunlight. This is how I got rust out of a white sundress.
Laurie4b
Wow. I never knew that! I'll try that first, and then go buy some Shout if still needed. Thanks everyone! (And I'll check back in case there are new suggestions)
lopezmom
When I have greasy stains or tomato stains, I rub Dawn dishwashing liquid into the stain (and sometimes Resolve or some stain remover) and then wash in as hot of water as the clothes can stand. Hope that helps!!
BikeBookBread
I have had luck soaking in BIZ. I have heard that Dawn dishwashing detergent really does work very well...
creekland
My mom had really good luck using Oxy Clean. It worked so well I just bought some for myself about an hour ago when at Wally World. Hopefully I won't need to use it soon!
