2squared
Today I ran into the grocery store and left all the kids in the van (a usual occurance in our little town). I was checking out in front of the Chief of Police, and I jokingly asked him if he was going to arrest me for leaving my kids in the van alone. He laughed and said not unless they were driving it. Last month the county attorney called to ask me what rules homeschoolers have to follow in our county. I told him what he needed to know, and then told him that the father of my dc should probably know what we have to do to stay legal. I guess if you are worried about being bugged by the authorities for homeschooling, you should move to our county. We are very homeschool friendly. I am counting my blessings today.
gaillardia
That is nice to hear, some homeschoolers are not so fortunate. Why is it funny that your dh should know what you have to do to stay legal? In another thread someone was asking why police are so rude. I find the sheriff dept. here rather friendly. What state do you live in? jentancalann
Why is it funny that your dh should know what you have to do to stay legal? I'm guessing that her husband is the county attorney. Pretty funny. ;)
