ahousefullofjs
I'm not sure if this was discussed before, I did a search but couldn't find anything. I've seen a few threads on specific subjects with recommendations for CD or DVD tools in say grammar (Schoolhouse Rock) or math (Math Songs from Audio Memory) We do quite a bit of driving and it sure would be nice to turn that into learning time. So, what are your favorite educational CD's or DVD's?

Food4Thought
We *really* love the CDs/DVDs by They Might be Giants - they are educational, but the music is actually quite fun. Here Come the 123s is our favorite, each song is dedicated to one number or concept. Here Come the ABCs is fun, and the animations on the DVD teach letter recognition. Here Comes Science goes through all sorts of wacky stuff (like the lyrics, "The sun is a miasma of incandescent plasma"). It has an evolution flair to it ("My brother the ape") and a lot of green theory ("Electric Car"). We have learned from all three - and my DH and I are known to listen to it even when the kids aren't around.

Alessandra
Has anyone mentioned Jim Weiss recordings? He is a master storyteller and has a wide variety of audiobooks, from fairytales to classic novels. These are usually retellings, not readings.
