Night Elf
There is your book. Where is your book? It seems obvious to choose there and where but it also seems weird. :)
Dobela
Rearrange them: Your book is there. Your book is where? Your book is the subject, where and there are adverbs.
LauraGB
There is your book. Where is your book? It seems obvious to choose there and where but it also seems weird. :) There is the subject in the first sentence. "Book" is the subject in the second sentence, the predicate is "is". I think. :) ETA - I take that back!! I think Dobela is right!!! But, wouldn't it be diagrammed as There (subject) Is (predicate)...there is what? Book as...oh. Got it. Night Elf
I totally forgot a subject can come at the end of a sentence! No wonder I was thinking something was weird! :)
Charles Wallace
There is your book. Where is your book? It seems obvious to choose there and where but it also seems weird. :) Book. It's what "is" somewhere. Where is acting as an adverb.
Nestof3
Something I like about Rod and Staff Grammar is that it teaches rearranging questions into statements and predicate nouns early on. I love Rod and Staff. :)
