If you have a 5yo DD and have the time...would you measure around her ankle, around the leg just under the knee, and the length of the leg/shin from just under the knee to the ankle? Thanks! I would like to have at least 6 measurements so I can get an average. I started the first one last night, but before finishing...I want to make sure it will be big enough. abbeyej Posted March 15, 2010 Share Posted March 15, 2010 I just measured dd (who will be 8 this week, but wears 5slims in pants). 8" around just below the knee (8.75 around her calves though). 6" around her ankle. 9.5" from just below the knee to the top of her foot. She has leg warmers that she wears to ballet class, and I believe they're 14" long, since they can be bunched up a bit. As long as they'll stretch a bit, I think leg-warmers are pretty forgiving size-wise.
