  1. Yes, the more I have looked at the picture cards...the more I think they look confusing. ~Holly
  2. Thank you so much! "...ad nauseum" describes it perfectly. I hadn't looked at your suggestions, but will do so. Thanks, again. ~Holly
  3. I have been doing some research on the boards to try and find some helps in getting ready for the SAT vocab. I found one great site...but, am wondering if anyone has used these resources: Picture These SAT Words in a Flash http://www.amazon.com/Picture-These-...sat+vocabulary 500 Key Words for the SAT http://www.amazon.com/500-Words-Reme...sat+vocabulary Thanks! ~Holly

  5. Is there going to be another FLL that follows FLL Level 4? I've been searching to try and find threads on the subject and can't find anything recent. If not, what are others doing? Thanks! ~Holly
  6. If so, where did you get it? I have found a few breeders on-line, but want to make sure I get tortoise from a reputable breeder. I'm not interested in buying from a pet store. Besides, I've never seen that type of tortoise in a store. Thanks! ~Holly
  7. I KNOW I have seen a schedule in the Saxon materials that gives options for using the extra "Topics" at the end of Saxon Math 5/4. It was a number of years ago that my son used 5/4...and, now that my daughter is using it...I can't remember when I did those extra lessons during the use of the book. Any help? Thanks! ~Holly
  8. I KNOW I have seen a schedule in the Saxon materials that gives options for using the extra "Topics" at the end of Saxon Math 5/4...or, maybe I'm dreaming. Who knows! Smiles! 9. Someone mentioned an interesting gift idea to me for guys...beer of the month club. Has anyone given this as a gift or been a recipient? Any suggestions for a "good club" choice? Thanks! ~Holly
  10. Thanks! Yes...I told both the orth and the assistant that the dentist may be fixing the chip...but, they went ahead and made it anyway. I figured one night would be okay since he would have had to wait almost a week to get the wire retainer. Thanks! ~Holly
  11. My son got his braces off this past Monday. He got retainers right away...the clear, plastic, molded type...not the one with the metal bar. Anyhoo...today he had a dentist/cleaning appointment and the doc repaired a slight chip in one of the front teeth. We had the retainer with us...my son tried it on...and, the doc said it looked just fine. Well, tonight when my son went to put it in...he can't push it up as far as it should go. Ugh!! It almost slips off with very little force. Also, he thinks his teeth are starting to hurt a little with this off-fit. Sigh... I'm going to call the ortho tomorrow morning. However, I'm wondering if it's okay that he doesn't wear it tonight? We certainly don't want to do any "damage" with an ill-fitting retainer. I don't want to call the doc because the answering machine specifically states paging the doc for emergencies only. I don't think this is an emergency. Thanks! ~Holly
  12. By the way...what did the rosewater flavoring taste like? I'm assuming a rose! Smiles!! Thanks! ~Holly
  13. I found both rose water and the orange blossom water in a "specialty Italian market" in my area. You can check your grocery store if they have a "specialty section" or look on-line (or in the phone book) for a Mediterranean market in your area. HTH... ~Holly
  14. I've decided to make Baklava this year for Christmas. However, it's been a long time since I last made it. I found one recipe that calls for both rose water and orange blossom water in the simple syrup. Are these flavorings going to over-power the Baklava? Also, the recipe I had once made called for honey instead of sugar. Is one sweetener "better" than the other? I know honey will give another layer of flavor. Any tried-and-true recipes are also welcome! Thanks! ~Holly
  15. I called the Whole Foods store that is going to carry them and they are selling them for less than that. $5 a pound is a bit steep! ~Holly
  16. Thanks for the info. The heritage bird I am looking at is not from a commercial source. However, I am still going to consider an organic depending on the info I get at the store regarding the source. ~Holly
  17. Stink eye! That's funny! Our local zoo has three Heritage Turkeys (the ones with the blue coloring on their heads) and, they also give us the stink eye!! Smiles! ~Holly
  18. So, do they really have more dark meat and a smaller breast? Do they take less time to cook? Are they juicy? Thanks! I watched the videos on a website that supposedly raises the best heritage turkeys...Mary's is the name. I certainly don't want to spend a lot of money on a turkey that is going to be the same as an organic free-range that is priced much less. I don't have the option of getting a turkey from a local farm. I wish I did. Thanks! ~Holly
