Guest KaciMI
A friend has taken her middle school child out of public school and will be homeschooling him. She is not interested/ready for Classical homeschooling. Can you list some of your favorite forums that are not Classical? All I could think of was Vegsource and it is hardly active these days. justamouse
Is there a forum over at the Charlotte Mason site? I dunno, really. Sorry!
Karenciavo
There are many people on this forum who don't home school classically (whatever that means :D see this thread) and I still think it's the best site for information on many home schooling methods
specialmama
If she's a new homeschooler, then she'd likely get a lot out of Cathy Duffy's 100 Top Picks. It will help her figure out her philosophy/method of preferred education, her son's learning styles, etc., and she can go from there. Doesn't answer your forum question, but it would probably help her more than being submersed into an "unknown" forum without knowing where she stands on certain issues. ;)
smrtmama
She could try the homeschooling forums at Mothering.com, though they're mostly unschooling forums, IMO.
Garga
There are tons of people right here who don't do classical education. This would be a great place to get moral support and also to get ideas for non-classical curric. ideas.

Daisy
I'd suggest here. This is now the only homeschool forum I comment on. 1. Diverse group of people. 2. GOOD moderation which you won't find in other places.

ChristusG
I do not homeschool classically and I love it here! It's the most active homeschooling forum that I can find, the people are nice, and there's a wealth of information here. Tell her to join in right here! :D
