*********
I've got a super simple one that we LOVE. I just finished using it to make hot cocoa cones. 2 cups powdered milk 1 cup white sugar 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1/2 tsp. salt I sift it all together to get rid of the lumps. And we like to make it with milk; makes it creamier. We put, oh, around 2-3 tablespoons in a mug of milk. The recipe is easily doubled, halved, etc. ETA: Well duh, I just remembered that you're putting it in jars, so you probably want to layer it instead of sifting it all together. :P
Amber in AUS
We enjoy this one - 1 cup white sugar 1 cup malted milk 1 cup cocoa Mix well. Use approx 1 heaped desert spoon plus water and milk the same way you would do coffee. You can use powdered milk instead of malted milk, but we prefer the malted. ConnieB
Here's mine: 10 cups dry milk powder 4 cups powdered sugar 2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder 2 cups non-dairy creamer (I make my own flavored creamers, see below) Use 3-4T of mix with a cup of boiling water. You can also add mini marshmallows to the mix. I've also been known to thrown in a handful or three of the mini chocolate chips. CREAMERS: I use a canning jar with a screw top lid to shake to mix, and for storage. Don't worry about the liquid extracts....shaking vigorously will cause the liquid to be completely absorbed. Base recipe: 1 cup plain non-dairy creamer powder plus 1 cup of powdered sugar. To this base, add these ingredients to make each flavor: Amaretto (personal fav): 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoon almond extract. Mint: 1 teaspoon peppermint extract. To make it "Bavarian Mint" add 1/2 cup cocoa. Vanilla: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Get the idea, lol.

Stacie
Here's one I made up and have used for many years: 2 cups powdered milk 2 cups confectioners' sugar 1 cup white sugar 1.5 cups cocoa 1 cup powdered coffee creamer 1 large Ghiradelli chocolate bar, shaved or grated Combine ingredients and store in a dry, sealed jar. Combine 4 oz water and 4 oz milk and bring to almost boiling. Stir in 2 heaping tablespoons of mix.
