chickenpatty
Governor Kaine opened the mansion to the public this evening. Dh, the kids and I waited in line for about 30 minutes and got to meet & shake hands with him and his wife (or is it "he and his wife"?). He asked all our kids their names, and his wife told them about the gingerbread houses some of their younger relatives had made. He'll only be the governor for about another month, but still it was pretty cool. The only bad thing was that we weren't allowed to take pictures of them, so I have no pics to post on my blog!:tongue_smilie:

unsinkable
Neat! Even if you don't have pics, write down everyone's impressions & memories. Those are as treasured as pictures to me. Our Gov. Patterson is out lookin' for a billion $$$ so I don't think I'll be meeting him any time soon.
pqr
He'll only be the governor for about another month..... Thank you for reminding me and making my day a little brighter. It is a treat to meet personalities and I hope you enjoyed it, but I look forward to the day when he will be called Governor only as reference to his prior job. Pity about the pictures, they would have been nice keepsakes.
