Grandmas want to give a family gift, any suggestions?

We have the basic Wii. Do you all have a family friendly rec? We don't have anything but the game that came with it (bowling, baseball, etc) and a Barbie game. We do have two controllers.

 

Both gps want to give us something as a family and I'm not sure what would be a good choice.

 

I would like something NOT video related too. Everything can't be about the Wii, right?

Mario cart is fun for all ages for the wii. What about a board game, movie basket (can include movies, popcorn, popcorn popper, movie tickets, gift cards for movie rentals, etc etc). croquet set, horseshoes, bocce ball, basketball goal/ball, hth

Are you near a zoo or an aquarium? Memberships to one of those or a children's museum or science center are all family gifts that we would love.

Wii fit is a good one, as is the new Mario.

 

Family passes to the local Y or community centre.

 

Honestly, I'm trying to focus on what will keep the kids physically active during the -30 C weather we get every year. For their health and my sanity :lol:

 

What about some sleds, ski passes (if anyone in your family is into that)..there's cross country and down hill around here that you get rental, etc with the membership.

Think "experiences & memories" with maybe a token gift to designate the true gift: museum memberships, a vacation together with gp, community swimming passes, lessons, a box of board games, musical instrument, etc.
