Snickerdoodle
I just walked in on my kids who are sleeping together in the same bed and they are both in REM sleep. I wonder if sleeping together with others will synch your sleep cycles? Curious. On another note, can I say that a child's bedhead is simply one of the wonderful joys of motherhood? I :001_wub: my kids.
Jean in Newcastle
Don't we go into REM sleep usually a certain number of hours (or minutes) into our sleep? If they went to sleep at the same time, then their cycles should basically track the same, I would think.
plain jane
They say that about mothers and nursing infants who sleep with them- that it helps sync. the sleep cycles, so I could see it being the same if you share a bed with someone consistently. I've noticed that with my dh and I, but in our case it may have something to do with the sleeping child wedged between us who tends to wake when I do and cry.:tongue_smilie: I :001_wub: my littles too. Maybe even a tad more when they are all sleeping soundly. ;)
