Dirtroad
Okay, pleading ignorance & not sure of even where you research the "definition"... but what is the difference in contacting some via email or PM and having them as a FRIEND? I have been blessed with a few request, but have not a clue what it means. Can you fill in a rookie to this area?
Rosie_0801
I don't know if there is anything amazing, but I use the function so people who I pm regularly show up on my profile, because it's quicker than searching through the members list to find them. Jean in Newcastle
As far as contacting or interacting with people on the board, there is no difference at all to being someone's friend or not. I assume the point of being friends is acknowledging a certain "sympatico" with someone else. At least that is how I choose my friends! You can go to Quick Links however and "Open Contacts Popup" - that let's you know if any of your friends are online and you can click on their name and e-mail or pm them quickly. I don't tend to use that feature, though.
stripe
I never figured it out either. But I did feel a little...rejected when someone never replied to my FRIEND request, and pleased when a post resulted in a FRIEND request. It's like high school, all over again! How nice.
