senunk
Another consideration, similar to this, is that from a christian standpoint, we're not trying to force people to behave as God intends for people to behave (or think or feel or whatever). Instead, the scriptures tell us to give people the opportunity to learn about God and choose to love him which will be shown by what they do. The scriptures are CLEAR that there will be people (the great majority of people) who won't make that choice (including a good number of people who call themselves followers of Jesus). That isn't our concern. Our concern is with giving people the opportunity to make the choice and helping further those who choose God. The scriptures say nothing of trying to prevent people from making other choices. :iagree:
KidsHappen
And if same sex couples were intended to create and raise children, then logically they should be biologically capable. This is a very dangerous argument. Using this same logic, you could say that if infertile couples were intended to create and raise children then logically they should be biologically capable of doing so. :glare:
Erica in PA
This is a very dangerous argument. Using this same logic, you could say that if infertile couples were intended to create and raise children then logically they should be biologically capable of doing so. :glare: I'm not sure I agree that necessarily follows logically. An infertile couple has a physical problem that is keeping them from conceiving.I think that is significantly different from the situation being discussed here. I personally believe that the physiology involved with homosexuality is one indicator that it is not what the Creator intended, including the fact that it does not lead to reproduction, as well as ways in which homosexuality does not make use of parts of the body in the way they were clearly designed to function.
