Garga Posted July 2, 2009 Share Posted July 2, 2009 In Gettysburg and Hanover PA, (oh, and Westminster MD) all the theaters show free kids movies on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the summer. Do other theaters do this across the country, or is it just in this area? I'm posting in case anyone wanted to check out if their local theaters do this. We're going to see Kung Fu Panda tomorrow at 10:00. Freeeeeeee!!! I found the info online about the free movies, but it took a bit of searching. Calling might have been quicker. I have a huge list of all the theaters and what they're showing and each week we decide if we want to go see one. Next week we're going to see Inkheart. For Freeeeeeee! Just beware, the daycares like to take advantage of this as part of their "summer camps" for the school-age children. They bring buses, and loads of kids. You generally have to arrive 45-60 minutes early to get a seat. Then you often have a lot of "crowd control" issues during waiting time with all of the many children and not-so-many chaperones. Although it sounds like fun, with this issue, and my children still expecting snacks, I find I am better off just renting the DVD :).
