Debbi in Texas
I voted cut first, then syrup. Dh told me once, I just use the pancake as a vehicle to get the syrup in my mouth. Debbi
unsinkable
I really meant this as written. I find myself getting a bit mental about cutting then pouring syrup b/c I don't like syrup on my knife. SOmetimes I get a new knife if there is syrup on it.

In that case, I will throw in my vote. I cut, then add syrup, for my kids. For me, I slather and then use the side of my fork to cut off individual bites :)
Kay in Cal
Me too! I always pour first (never occured to me there was any other way...), but for my own I add more syrup after when the first pour soaks in. Only real maple syrup, though. I can't stand colored corn syrup!
BillieBoy
I don't get it. I'm fairly new here. Is there some analogy I'm missing. I just figured out tea wasn't tea. I don't want to be slow on the pancake uptake.

cslbda
I'm with the majority. Pour syrup 1st and then chow down!
