Holly in FL
I posted a few weeks ago that I am going to be making the following purse for myself: http://www.knitpicks.com/patterns/Grazing_Sheep_Bag__D31051221.html However, now that I bought a bunch of green yarns to choose from...I don't know what looks best together! Sigh... A friend of mine chose the first color combo below. The rest of the pictures are all the colors I have. Any help? Thanks! ~Holly
astrid
OMG I love that bag! Are you on Ravelry? I just checked; there are 17 projects for that bag listed. Now colors--- I'd go with the first picture of three, the one your friend liked. Another option would be to go with three colors from the third picture from the left; six colors lined up vertically in two columns. The pictures are small, but it looks like the middle and bottom one from the left column and the top one from the right column might be nice together. Post pictures when you're done! I am totally addicted to felting! Happy Knitting! Astrid

Holly in FL
Thanks, again...Astrid! I'm inspired to get working on this bag! I've never done intarsia knitting...so, I will do a swatch to get the hang of it before diving into the bag. I have a book on hold at our library that should be a great help to me. I do think I will stick with my friend's choices. My only concern about that really dark green was that the black for the sheep faces and feet might not show up. I have both a charcoal black and a charcoal grey to chose from. ?? I'll have to flip a coin, I guess. My friend said, "Well, many sheep are more of a grey than black in their markings." She's so nice to make me feel better about using the grey. Smiles! ~Holly
Mommy22alyns
That bag is so cute, and I love felting!
BikeBookBread
I definitely like choice #1 that your friend suggested. The other 3-combo is rather blah. It just needs that kick of spring green in my 'umble opinion. Did you get the beads for the handle or go a different route?

Holly in FL
I'm not going to do the beads. I think it *would* be too much and take away from the bag. I'm thinking of doing a simple handle... http://www.allcraftsupplies.com/p-7025/plastic-purse-handles-2-pkg-woodtone-with-rings-6x5-1-4.html or, a burnt bamboo handle like this one: http://www.umx.info/cat/bamboo-purse-handles-ct3-14.htm What do you think? ~Holly

I think I like the dark one, but both are really nice.
