Etkids
Could you tell me do you use the individual or homeschool edition? I ask because I was offered the individual edition Levels 1-3 for $50. What a blessing that would be, however I don't want to "miss" out on something very important just because of the price. Thanks!
C_l_e_0..Q_c
It might be best to ask on the curriculum board. On the bilingual board, the kids are already bilingual (or tri, or more). You won't find many Rosetta Stone users here. Unless of course, a family is adding a new language.
Etkids
I wondered about that after posting. I'm sorry!
Joan in GE
Could you tell me do you use the individual or homeschool edition? I ask because I was offered the individual edition Levels 1-3 for $50. What a blessing that would be, however I don't want to "miss" out on something very important just because of the price. Thanks! Do you know which edition it is? The RS is now on it's 3rd edition and it is much more sophisticated than the 2nd edition. I haven't ever compared the content of the two though. But my children like the 3rd edition better. (They used the 2nd for Mandarin and the 3rd now for German). We used the homeschool edition for the 2nd and the private/individual for the 3rd. For us it did not make much difference, but these were additional languages so we weren't really quantifying progress as carefully as you might want to. But if you are just using it as one of several resources, it probably won't make a difference.
Etkids
After hearing what you ladies had to say along with getting some good information from another homeschooling site & much prayer. I really feel that we have been blessed with such a wonderful deal. This is the latest version 3, so I do feel that my DD will be getting the skills she needs to earn her high school credits. Thank you for your responses :) May the Lord bless your day!
jeri
Make sure that this has the access code intact since once it's been used, you can't transfer owners. I bought version 3 online at a great price. It works for the first few lessons then asks you to enter the code which allows you to use it on one computer. Obviously, if it has been installed on anoterh computer, yours is not the first, and it will not go further. So, ask if the code has ever been entered and if you have doubts, call RS to seek their advice. Fortunately I was able to get my money back from the person who sold it to me. Etkids
Jeri, I had no idea about this issue and have already purchased it. I can hope and pray that all turns out well and that I'm not out the money.

babysparkler
I have the homeschool edition. I also switched computers last year and had no trouble re-entering my code to gain access again on the new computer. :)
Storm Bay
We use the Rosetta Stone homeschool version. It came with a workbook and we can set it up to track multiple dc. I'm not sure if you can do that with the regular one. Also, it comes back right where you left off, and I don't know if that's the same as the non-homeschooling one. momsquared
Version 3 can be installed on up to 2 computers. If it has been installed only once it should be fine.
